The Library Resource Centre (LRC) at the school campus has evolved over the years and is today recognized as one of the premier school libraries incorporating the latest technological innovations to make it user friendly and eminently accessible.
The School has three LRCs: one senior, one junior LRC at Sec-14 School, and one junior LRC at Sec-10A School. The LRCs are managed by credentialed professionals who, in partnership with other educators, provide resources and instruction that promote students’ achievement of learning goals. It is their aim for all the students to be self-motivated, lifelong learners and information literate.
LRCs are well equipped, comfortably furnished and have air-conditioned, spacious and well lit interiors. We follow Open Access System. This system allows any student / staff to pick and choose any book they like.
The LRCs are equipped with high profile automation software- LIBSYS, that facilitates easy selection of books based on the choice of an individual. The LRCs have a huge collection of over 80,000 documents and the number is on a rapid increase. We subscribe to 40 Magazines and Journals and 6 National Dailies. The DDC is the Classification System used in the Library. OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) is provided to the clientele. All the books and the Member ID Cards are Bar-coded. Students from II Standard to XII Standard visit the library. Books are issued to students all round the year. The system of Overnight / Short-term issue System is also followed.
To strengthen the bond between books and students, the Library faculty designs various Projects and celebrates International Book Day, perky festivals like Melange and Literary Fests . The LRC also conducts projects like ISA Library Project, Action Research Project encouraging the students' participation and team work.
